Sweet Sensations!!!!!!

So let's talk wedding foods/snacks!!!! They've become the red headed step children at weddings. Over the summer, I saw a lot of faboulous designs, dresses, cakes, and decors at weddings but an area that always seemed to fall short were the foods. Enough of the bland fish or chicken dishes. The wedding cake shouldnt be the only dessert available for the guests to savor, they need options!!!

There are a few ideas of conventional and some not so conventional ways to make your guests feel like theyre in heaven, try bite sized desserts and appetizers they're sure to be major winners.  Enjoy!!!!!!

Appetizers like you've never seen.
Shrimp Cocktail
French Fries
Grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup
Cheese Burger
The Unlikely Stars!!!!!
Everyone likes popcorn, cotton candies and cookies they would make a very GREAT addition to the overall uniqueness of a wedding reception.
Popcorn!!!!
Milk and Cookies
Fortune cookies!!!
Mini cherry pies
Cotton candy...yum!!!

For the Sweet Tooth!!!
Blackberry currant popsicle shot.
Mini candied apple
Creme Brulee
Ice Cream
Key Lime Pies
Fruit Tarts
Snow Cones
Velvet Truffles
Cheesecakes
Individually designed cakes

Totally random. Too beautiful to drink dont you just wanna stare at it.

  2. Please how well do these fare in an average-priced Naija-based wedding? Abi we would have to replace them our locals like chinchin and co?

  3. people would like to do these and more. but hey! you know the volumes associated with our naija weddings! how do couples just trying to start life, paying 1million for venue and another one million to feed, 400k for deco, 500k for dribnks, 250k for pictures and the list goes on and on fit this in?

  4. @Honeydame Dont dull on chinchin o lol. It can be presented just as tastefully you can always do bite sized/mini meat pies, samosas, sausage rolls, or spring rolls. And I've seen a couple of ideas at Naija weddings, you can go "tastefully local" with it, I've seen roasted plaintains and groundnuts served as appetizers.... pretty innovative right? LOL There are a couple of pastry shops in Nigeria that can deliver delicious goodies a lot better than this trust me.... if you want I can research a couple for you!!!!

  5. @Doll You make a totally good point but I've always been a firm believer in the fact that money doesn't buy class there are so many ways that one can personalize their appetizers/desserts. Plus some of the ideas are not that bad now...popcorn, ice cream, french fries, and cookies aren;t too high up there...I think LOL. I tried to create a balance between the high end and the affordability but I guess I didnt really do that LOL....I promise to consider budget next time I'm up in lala land where money isnt a factor lol...
